Child Custody & Visitation
Whether you are a parent, grandparent, or other close relative, we can help you establish, enforce, and/or modify child custody and visitation arrangements. We will work to protect your interests, and the interests and well-being of the children involved, via primary or joint custody arrangements and visitation arrangements as may be appropriate under the circumstances. As with divorce-related matters, our attorneys make every effort to reach an amicable settlement. If necessary, however, they are prepared to seek the court's intervention and assistance to ensure that their client's parental needs and rights, and the children's best interests, are met. We also handle actions to modify custody and visitation arrangements, as with the passage of time, there are often material changes of circumstances which necessitate changes in custody and/or the visitation schedule.
Enforcement of Court Orders
Once the court system has issued an order, all parties are bound by law to adhere to the terms of that order, unless it is subsequently modified or reversed upon appeal. Unfortunately, sometimes one of the parties will elect to ignore all or part of an order. Should this occur, our attorneys are well-versed in a range of options for ensuring that your order is honored, and will work with you to map out a pragmatic and effective approach to seek enforcement of the court order.
